Vicki Dees

Vicki Lynn Dees, 55, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died March 14, 2011, at her home. Born May 28, 1955, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she was the daughter of H.L. Abercrombie and Mary Sue Shockley Abercrombie. Vicki lived in Owasso, Oklahoma prior to moving to Siloam Springs 11 years ago. She was a homemaker, prayer warrior, student of the Bible, minister to women, loving wife, friend to many, and former elementary teacher at Siloam Springs Schools. On June 6, 1975, she married Kerwin Clarence Dees in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Vicki was a member of Sager Creek Community Church in Siloam Springs, and is a child of the Living God. Survivors include her husband Kerwin of Siloam Springs; son, Mitchell K. Dees and wife Stephanie of Owasso, Oklahoma, daughter Cherissa L. Roebuck and husband Lucas of Siloam Springs; son, Russell A. Dees of Siloam Springs; and son Tyler J. Dees and wife Meagan of Siloam Springs; her parents, H.L. and Sue Abercrombie; one sister, Carol Fox and husband Billy of Panama City Beach, Florida; one brother, Larry I. Abercrombie and wife Suzie of Garland, Texas; seven grandchildren: Addison Dees, Preston Dees, Hadleigh Dees, all of Owasso, Oklahoma, Maximus, Maggie Mae, and Baby Boy Roebuck, and Roman Dees, all of Siloam Springs. Pallbearers will be Jason and Melissa McMahan, Brian and Christine Matchell, Dave and Allison Bellomy, Matt and Amanda Orcutt, Mark and Michele Cook, David and Karen Mann, Danny and Jerrie Price, and Jon and Nikki Crenshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed and Denise Robertson, Randy and Janie Trotter, Vicki and Kenny Sherin, Dave and Kim Dorrough, Basil and Jamie Pelton, Ken and Linda Ramey, Ron and Jill Bradley, Dan and Marilyn Siemens, Wally and Judy Poplin, Wash and Dixie Rushing, Mike and Liz Roark, and John and Joan Mayes. Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Sager Creek Community Church, Siloam Springs, with Jim Henderson, and Dan Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sager Creek Community Church, Siloam Springs.
