Paul Gray Kimball

Paul Gray Kimball passed away at the age of 92 with his wife Lois at his side on May 29, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1933, to Edward and Ruth Gray Kimball in Brooklyn, New York. Paul’s childhood in Lincoln Park, New Jersey was full of fond memories, including sandlot baseball and neighborhood football games, Dixieland jazz piano instruction, and plenty of adventures with his brother Ed. On August 11, 1956, Paul married the apple of his eye, Lois Humme Kimball, initially spotting her on the same train bound for Miami of Ohio University – the rest is history! They lived in Morton, Pennsylvania, before settling down in Wilmington, Delaware, where Paul and Lois faithfully attended and served at Bethel Baptist Church. Family was a priority for Paul throughout his entire life, whether through camping, hiking, swimming, sailing, making music or writing odes. Paul and Lois have three children: Diane (David), with children Paul (Kate), Jese (Bill) and Luke; Shari, with children Ashley, Austen and Megan; and David (Jan), with children Jael (Trevor), Ricki (Josiah), Acadia (Vaughn), Jason and Easton. Paul and Lois are blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Kacey, Wiley, Theo, Layla, Johnny, Chase, Emerson and Oliver. After college, Paul served in the Navy, started his career at Price Waterhouse, became a CPA, completed his MBA, then worked for over 20 years in accounting and finance at DuPont Corporation. A short stint teaching business classes at night at a community college gave him the desire to teach full time. His love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, along with his love for business, teaching, and young people led him to move his family in 1981 to Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where he taught business courses at John Brown University for over 25 years. Throughout his life, Paul shared the message of salvation and the love of Christ by serving in his local church (youth director, elder/deacon, AWANA,) and with Gideons International and the Manna Center. He and Lois enjoyed traveling across the country and the world and serving on several mission trips to Central America and Ireland. They opened their home to many JBU students and missionaries and were host-parents for international students including Central American Walton Scholar students. Paul’s interest and care for others were demonstrated in the classroom, the Sunday School room, the living room, and with whoever crossed his path. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, father and older brother Ed Kimball. He is survived by his wife, his children and their spouses, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, 441 US-412 West, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at Siloam Springs Bible Church, 927 South Oak Hill Street, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
