Marjorie Lynn Jackson

Marjorie “Margie” Jackson, lovingly known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born February 2, 1952, Margie spent most of her life in Kansas Oklahoma, where she built a life centered around the people and things she loved most. Margie was a woman with a big heart, a strong spirit, and a personality that could never be forgotten. She was feisty, stubborn, independent, and unapologetically herself—and those were some of the very qualities her family loved most about her. Early in her working life, Margie worked as a hairstylist before beginning what would become many dedicated years with Franklin Electric. Recently, she found ways to give back to her community. She volunteered her time at the library and generously donated to St. John’s Children’s Hospital, always finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others. Margie had a special love for animals, especially her beloved little dog, Tazzi, who was a cherished companion to her. But above all else, Margie’s grandchildren were her whole world. She loved her grandchildren, Ahrya and Seiren, with a love that was unconditional and unmistakable. She spoiled them like no other and made sure they always knew just how deeply they were loved. To them, she wasn’t simply their grandmother—she was their Mimi, and she was one of the most important people in their world. Margie also took great pride in herself and never wanted to be caught without her hair and makeup done. She was always “done up,” because that was simply Mimi. Even in the smallest details, she carried herself with a confidence and personality all her own. Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Harrington; her husband, Thomas Jackson; her sister, Lori Olsen; her brother, Randy Withers; and her daughter, Kyisha Reding. She is survived by her grandchildren, Ahrya and Seiren Reding of Siloam Springs AR; her sister, Marci Hatfield of Omaha AR; her niece, Miranda Floyd of Fayetteville AR; and the many family members and loved ones whose lives she touched throughout her years. Margie will be remembered for her fierce spirit, her generous heart, her love for her family, and the unmistakable presence she brought into every room. She may have been a feisty, stubborn little thing, but that was Mimi—and her family wouldn’t have wanted her any other way. Her grandchildren will carry her love with them always, and she will forever be their Mimi. Funeral services will be held Friday September 4 at 2pm at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs Arkansas followed by burial at Kansas Cemetery.
