Angela Marie Pauli

Angela (Angie) Marie Pauli, 95, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas formerly of Montrose, Colorado graduated to Heaven on April 17, 2013. Angie was born to Frank and Yera Strah January 10, 1918. Her parents were immigrants of Yugoslavia descent. Angela spoke fluent slovenien and maintained a strong accent throughout her lifetime. She was raised on the family farm outside of Buena Vista, Colorado. Her family consisted of five full siblings and three half siblings as her mother died before she was a year old. Therefore, the only mother she knew was a step mother. She became a single parent raising three young daughters. Angela was a hard worker in the fields of meat processing and food service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Montrose, Colorado. After her daughters were grown, Angie ventured to Alaska working as a cook in various camps in remote areas. During her Alaska adventure she experienced the beauties of nature and enjoyed a less stressful life. After retiring, she returned to her home of seventy years in Montrose, Colorado. During her years of retirement she maintained her own home and enjoyed doing her yard work. She loved her flowers and garden. She was an in-home care giver to several friends. She learned to crochet and made many beautiful afghans for her family. She was a self taught oil painter in her later years. She was a wonderful cook, her specialties being potato dumplings and baked beans. She baked her own delicious raisin nut bread recipe sharing it with many friends. She enjoyed garage sales and helped a friend work a weekly storage garage sale business. In August of 2012, due to declining health, she moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to live with her daughter, Virginia Wright. Angie leaves many close friends in Montrose, Colorado as well as many new friends in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by three daughters; Barbara Howard and her husband Michael of Anchorage, Alaska, Carole Gilder and her husband Gerald Gilder of Minden, Nebraska, and Virginia Wright of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She also leaves behind the following: five grandchildren, Steven and Brian Wright, Shawn Howard, Kye Gilder and Kendra Worthy; seven great grand children and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, four sisters, two brothers and son-in-law Jim Wright. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Wasson Funeral Home. A private family memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Our mother, grandma, and great grandma's citizenship is now in HEAVEN.
