Thelma Ann Smith-McDonald Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thelma Ann Smith-McDonald, 93, of Decatur, Arkansas, died on April 9, 2022. She was born on May 10, 1928, in Isabella, Oklahoma, to Simon Koehn and Tillie Casper Koehn. Thelma was a dedicated mother, grandmother, friend, and Christian. She enjoyed farming and taking care of her cats and raising cattle. She loved to sew, bake, can, and working in vegetable and flower garden. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Smith; her second husband, George McDonald; sons, L.D. Smith and Nickie Smith; one granddaughter, Brandy Pool; brothers, Clarence, Victor, Alfred, Frank, Koehn, and Chester Koehn; sisters, Claire Warner, and Ella Rena Hubble. She is survived by her daughters, Dolly Pool, of Decatur, Arkansas, and Glenda McCully, of Southwest City, Missouri; son, Byron Smith, of Exeter, Missouri; one stepson, Michael McDonald, of Decatur, Arkansas; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation towards Circle of Life, where Thelma spent her last days.
