Patricia Anne Thompson

Patricia Anne Thompson, 79 of Maysville, AR, passed away on November 6, 2024, at her home. Patricia was born on July 5th, 1945, to Eldiree and Fonnie Breashears in Story, AR. After Patricia graduated from Mt. Ida High School in 1963, she studied Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Business Finance & Management at the American College of Commerce. She worked as a Sales Associate at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation after a long career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Operations and Store Planning. In 1964, Patricia married Donald David Thompson of Waldron, AR. “Pat and Don” as they were called by close friends went on to have 3 children, Carol, David, and Donna. They lived together in Waldron, AR; Lake Charles, LA; and various areas of central FL. Pat retired after Don passed in 1997 and she enjoyed living in Germantown, TN with her daughter, Donna, and family. Later she settled in Maysville, AR for the rest of her happy days and shared a beautiful farm with her son David. Pat married her “Cowman”, RG Edmondson in 2005 and they shared many adventures. Patricia continued to enjoy traveling to interesting locations worldwide and taking walking trips with family and friends in many states and often closer to home. She enjoyed decorating her home, cooking for guests, and pondering life and the beautiful view from the front porch while documenting it all through photographs and postings. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Eldiree and Fonnie Breashers; husband, Donald David Thompson; and her brothers Jerry, John, and Joe Breashears. She is survived by her brother Tommy Breashears; sisters, Hazel Russel and Judy Thomas; and many, many dear nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Jeff Byrd, and their children Catherine Byrd Miller and Andrew Philip Byrd; her son David Evan Thompson; and daughter and son-in-law Donna and Morgan Yarbrough and their children Melanie Carson Howle and Willis Morgan Yarbrough II. Pat is also survived by her great-grandchildren Wesley, Violet, and Graham Howle who were her great joy. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16th, at Refuge Baptist Church in Story, AR, at 10:00 a.m. The memorial services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be at Breashears Family Cemetary in Story, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for the ongoing maintenance and beautification of the Breashears Family Cemetary, which is cared for by Jean Breashears.
