Michael "Mike" Keith Roberts

Services celebrating the life of Michael Keith Roberts will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Siloam Spring with Pastors Jeremy DeGroot and Duncan Locke officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Mike was born on September 12, 1956 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After school he worked and developed a number of skills and later attended West Arkansas University. He has always worked hard and and diligently at whatever he attempted to do. He was multifaceted and was considered a “jack of all trades”. Mike later started a resale business, taking used items and giving them alittle TLC or new purpose and reselling them. Because of all of his hard work and determination, he and Janet were able to travel and remodel their home. He also taught himself woodworking, creating several special pieces for their home, as well as making blanket ladders as a side business. He was a lifelong entrepreneur and very resourceful in all he did. Mike was a “doer” and always encouraged us to live life fully each day! He also loved his long bike rides and running every day! Mike was a true lover of sports, especially basketball. He coached his daughter, Mikayla and girls teams, as well as travel teams for over 29 years, including the Greenwood Boys and Girls clubs. He also coached his son, Derrick in basketball and baseball. He was truly the happiest when he was motivating, teaching and encouraging his kids and team, both on and off the court. If you knew Mike you knew he loved his Arkansas Razorbacks and beamed with pride for his home state when they were having a good season! He was an exceptional Christian man who lived out his Christian faith daily and loved his Lord with all his heart, our kids and our grands more than they could imagine. He loved serving God through music and recently learning to play the guitar so beautifully. He had the most anointed and soothing voice and loved singing in the choir and the praise team. He was truly one of the most giving and selfless people God has ever created. He was someone who always showed up and you never questioned his love or his loyalty He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Doris Roberts and his brother, Joe Roberts. Mike is survived by his loving wife Janet Roberts; son, Derrick Roberts and daughter, Mikayla Roberts; son, Daniel Veuleman; daughter, Jennifer King and husband Brad; grandchildren, Max Roberts and his mom, Alyssa Lind; Gabriella Ball and Beckett King; and sister, Mary Peters and husband Steve; and special Aunt, Janet Sue Heslep and husband Harold, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the north Bossier EMT team for their presence and amazing efforts as well as, the staff of Willis-Knighton Bossier Health Center for their attention and loving care. We also thank the staff and church family at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs for their caring ministry to our family during this difficult time.
