Louise Holderby

Louise Holderby, 96, of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born on September 8, 1928, in Proctor, Oklahoma, Louise was the daughter of Claude Crittenden Kindle and Emma Belle (Reese) Kindle. On March 5, 1949, she married the love of her life, Oscar Edward Holderby Jr., in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and together they shared a life filled with love and devotion. A member of the Church of Christ in Colcord, Oklahoma, Louise found great joy in her faith and cherished the love of her family. She worked for Colcord Public Schools starting in 1968 and in retired in 1994. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Belle (Reese) Kindle; her father, Claude Crittenden Kindle; two sisters, Anna Belle Kindle, and Alta Irene Gordon; five brothers, Richard Kindle, Virgil Kindle, Johnny Kindle, Cecil Kindle, and Curtis Kindle. She is survived by her daughter, Phillis Smith and husband, Mike of Colcord, Oklahoma; her son, Jerry Holderby and wife, Linda of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Stefanie Johnson and husband, Dave of Decatur, Arkansas, and Crystal Shelley and husband, Jeremy of Colcord, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Kindle Holderby and wife, Nicole of Benton, Arkansas, and Jordan Holderby of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; four great granddaughters; Lerami Shelley of Colcord, Oklahoma, Alyson Shelley of Colcord, Oklahoma, Blakely Holderby of Benton, Arkansas, and Haley Stopp of Benton, Arkansas; three great grandsons; Lance Osburn and wife, Katsy of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Lane Osburn and wife, Karina of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Dylan Stopp of Benton, Arkansa; three great-great granddaughters, Ellie Osburn of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Riley Osburn of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Alinna Morales of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one great-great grandson, Lincoln Osburn of Chickasha, Oklahoma; one brother, Haskell Kindle of Proctor, Oklahoma. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home is Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A funeral service is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home with a committal service to follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
