Leslie Ann House

Leslie Ann House, age 73, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Leslie was born June 26, 1953, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, to the late Joel Fredrick Schulz and June Anna Schulz (Chase). She was united in marriage to the late Al Henry House. Leslie was a woman of faith who found strength and comfort in the Bible. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived her life and cared for others. She had a heart for people around the world and spent countless hours doing things for charities and hospitals. Having been a premature baby herself, Leslie had a special place in her heart for babies born early and loved to knit little, tiny hats for them. Many people will especially remember Leslie for her card ministry. She created and shared prayer cards that found their way to people in Africa, Honduras, and other places around the world. If you walked past her room, chances were, you would receive a prayer card. Leslie would sometimes say, “I’m not writing the prayer cards, Jesus is.” Leslie never seemed to have a mean bone in her body. She was quick to forgive, even when forgiveness was difficult, and she always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives. Christmas and Thanksgiving were especially important to Leslie. She would save all throughout the year so she could create special memories for her children and grandchildren. Her sons were often amazed by what she could accomplish with so little and how much she could do for so many. Leslie also loved spending time with her family playing Super Scrabble, cribbage, and other games. Those hours together created memories that her loved ones will treasure for years to come. Leslie was an amazing woman whose life was a testament to faith, forgiveness, and love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Henry House; parents, Joel and June Schulz; her twin sister, Laura Schulz. She is survived by her two sons, Joel F. Slaton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Bruce L. Slaton of Springdale, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis; two grandsons, Lance Slaton and Justus Slaton; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Raab (Gaylin) of Apple Valley Minnesota and Karen Schulz of Clintonville Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; many other people she touched around the world. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2026, at Siloam Springs, Nursing and Rehabilitation.
