Joan DAvis De Los Santon

Joan L (Davis) De Los Santos, of Siloam Springs, AR, was received by her Savior on March 28, 2026 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her siblings (Carole Davis, Sharon Hyde, Stanley Davis, Ronald Davis, and William Davis); nephew (Billy Davis); niece (Susan Kimbrough); and parents (William Marion Davis and Norma Maxine Mitchem Davis). Joan leaves behind her sisters (Emilie Robertson and Glenda Prince); daughter Sandy K Ard McCammon (Bradley W McCammon), son Edward M Ard, Jr (Stella G Schwartz), daughter Shannon M Bock, and daughter Maria K Samaras Dominguez (Michael T Dominguez); grandchildren (Ismael J Dominguez and Mateo F Dominguez); numerous nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Born in Jay, Oklahoma, Joan was the seventh of eight children. She was only seven years old when her mother passed away, and she spent her youth, along with several of her siblings, at Sand Springs Home. Family was very important to Joan, and she and her siblings were quite close despite the miles that would separate them throughout her years. Joan graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, and completed over 1,000 hours towards a license in Cosmetology. She was a homemaker when Sandy and Eddie were young, and became a business partner with her husband when she was middle-aged. After retiring, Joan eventually moved back to Oklahoma and finally settled in Arkansas to be close to her sisters. Joan was rather artistic and creative, and enjoyed doing nice things for others. A native English speaker, she was also fluent in Spanish and made friends with everyone she met. Joan lived modestly, but she was always ready to help others in need. She enjoyed talking to people and sharing knowledge that she gained through her experiences and from those whom she called friends. Joan loved being a mother to her children, even if that looked differently based on circumstances. She was so happy when all four of her children visited her together. Indeed, she was pleased to see Sandy, Eddie, Shannon, and Maria develop their relationships. Joan showed determination throughout her life, and leaned on her faith when life posed her with challenges. She enjoyed her many friendships and was appreciative of her attentive caregivers. Her sweet smile, thoughtful phone calls and notes, and love for her family will be remembered. No services are planned.
