Clifford Ray Dozier

Clifford ‘Cliff’ Ray Dozier, 75, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 16, 2023. He was born in Twin Oaks, Oklahoma, to Sim and Marcella (Marks) Dozier on December 7, 1947. He retired in 2015 from Simmons Industries, a truck driver with the Transportation Department for 40 years. Throughout his life and into his retirement, you could always find him working in his garden, and though his career was in the trucking industry, his dream was to be a farmer. He loved being outdoors in his garden; planting seeds, nurturing, and harvesting. He also enjoyed eating the vegetables that the garden produced, and so did his family that did not inherit his green thumb for growing things. When he wasn’t in his garden, you could find him in his woodshop building a piece of furniture for his wife or a special request from his kids or grandkids. Each piece that he skillfully and lovingly crafted will be a treasured for many years to come. If he wasn’t tinkering in the woodshop or working in the garden, you would find him playing video games. Up until his illness, this was a favorite pastime in the winter months. He was a man of many talents and qualities, too many to recount. One talent that is truly special to the heart of his family was his love of singing and playing the guitar. When he was in his early 20’s, he taught himself how to play so that he could play in church. He would play and sing as his wife and daughter sang along with him. He passed his love of playing the guitar on to his son and taught him to play as well. Cliff was well loved by his family and loved back just as hard. He would give his last dollar to help out his family, an doften times he did. He loved to share God with others and never met a stranger anywhere he went. Above all that he lived for, he lived for God. He spent countless hours reading, studying, and absorbing the word of God, even throughout his sickness. If he could leave one message to share with the world it would be this bible scripture. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Cliff now has everlasting life. Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Susie Dozier, brothers Arthur Dozier, Ricky Dozier, Doyle Dozier, Samuel Dozier, brother in law Calvin Halstead, and sister in law Gertrude Dozier. Survivors include, his wife of 55 years, Judy (Bush) Dozier, of the home, daughter Sherry Sisemore and husband Kimmy, son Clifford ‘JR’ Dozier and wife Jamee, grandchildren, Kristen Ussery and husband Bryce, Andrea Whelpley and husband Russell, Abby Lewis and husband Aaron, Rachel and fiancée Ian Vanvalkenburg, Gavin Dozier, great-grandchildren, Jason Whelpley, Chev Whelpley, and Lyla Whelpley. Sisters, Ruthie Halstead, and Patty Thorne and brothers Jerry Dozier and Raymond Dozier. Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Bell Cemetery in Watts, Oklahoma.
