Claud Dean Denny

Claud Dean Denny, age 77, of Colcord, Oklahoma, died on June 7, 2021, at his home. He was born on March 21, 1944, in Oklahoma, near Maysville, Arkansas, to Claud Denny and Elsie Cox Denny. Dean graduated from Colcord High School in 1962. He worked as a central office repairman for the telephone company for 41 years. Dean married Linda Stacy on December 21, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dean was an avid wood worker and enjoyed building furniture and novelty items for his family and friends. Every spring he plowed garden plots for his neighbors and family members. He was good to check on sick people and helped in any way he could. Dean loved to travel, after his retirement he and Linda made many Colorado trips. During his lifetime he made many friends. Most of all he loved his wife and family, he treasured every moment spent with them and he was the happiest when surrounded by them. Michelle was a good athlete and he loved following her games and doing things with Rob. His granddaughter Neveah was a source of great enjoyment to him in his latter years when his health was declining, she was his little caregiver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud, and Elsie Denny; niece, Melinda Hendren; and brother-in-law Maurice Hendren. He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Rob Denny and wife Marilyn of Colcord, Oklahoma; daughters, Michelle Loveland and husband Jeron of Cushing, Oklahoma, and Kimberly Barrett of Colcord, Oklahoma; stepsons, Joey Goates and wife Tara of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Chad Goates of Decatur, Arkansas; grandchildren: Beau, Jasmyn, Ashton, Tanner, Neveah, Darrin, Trevor, and Natasha; sisters, Margaret Sullivan and husband Chester of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Margie Hendren of Colcord, Oklahoma; brothers, Richard Denny and wife Vicki of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, and David Denny and wife Debbie of Colcord, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2021, at Row Cemetery in Colcord, Oklahoma. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
