A notice to our families

To Our Families and Community. Information on Funerals and COVID-19

For all services scheduled after March 20, 2020:

As we continue daily to respond to the news of the increasing number of cases of corona virus we are all making significant changes to our lifestyles. It had never occurred to me the number of people attending visitations, funerals, memorial services and gravesides might have to be limited.

However, in anticipation of increasing numbers of the public being infected daily, and warnings from federal, state and local authorities, we will be temporarily limiting these services to family and closest friends. A public service will be provided on a later date, day or evening, at no additional cost.

My staff and I appreciate the continued confidence and trust you have in our ability to take care of you, your loved ones and the public at large when it comes to death care needs. We have made this decision fully aware it could make a difficult time in life more difficult. As soon as the numbers of cases of the virus are in decline or as we are otherwise advised by the proper authorities we will return to normal operation. We will pray this happens quickly.

If you would like more specific information, please call day or night and we will be happy to visit with you about any concerns.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, we are asking that all of our clients please call and make an appointment to visit with us.

Wasson Funeral Home is trying to keep employees, visitors, and families that we serve safe. As you know the State of Arkansas has prohibited gatherings of 10 or more people at this time.

The Wasson Funeral Home staff is taking extra precautions to clean and disinfect the building between each appointment to prevent any possible spread of the virus.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we are still available for you 24 hours a day.  Our phone number is 479-524-5131.

Danny Wasson
